MODIFICATION ORDERS
*We cannot give you legal advice or appear in court on your behalf. Seeking counsel before proceeding with any paralegal is always recommended.
There are many reasons a parent may seek to modify a parenting plan. The request should be in the best interest of the child(ren) and either party may make this request. A request could be to increase, decrease or restrict parenting time for the other party. If there has been a substantial change in circumstances, you may also consider whether child support should be modified, says the court.
If you allege that the minor child(ren) is in imminent physical or emotional danger due to the current parenting time you must be able to explain to the court why restricting the other parent's parenting time is necessary and be prepared to provide evidence to the Court.
