Divorce

Colorado is a “no-fault divorce” state. Meaning, only one spouse in the marriage must believe and declare that the marriage is irretrievably broken in order for the divorce decree to be granted.

Guardianship
There are times when a loved one may not be able to care for themselves either physically or mentally. If the person is under the age of 18, the court refers to them as a minor.” If it is an adult the court refers to them as a “ward.”

Modification Orders
There are many reasons a parent may seek to modify a parenting plan. The request should be in the best interest of the child(ren) and either party may make this request. A request could be to increase, decrease or restrict parenting time for the other party.
